Following the huge success of the inaugural Fife Whisky Festival in March, we are delighted to launch an additional first for 2019: the Fife Whisky Festival Opening Dinner.
On arrival at Lindores Abbey Distillery, you will be greeted with a delicious Aqua Vitae cocktail and have the opportunity to mingle with the other guests in the Still Room before taking your seat for the banquet style dinner in The Cloister.
Each of the three courses, prepared by Lindores’ award winning chef Andrew Wilkie, will be paired with some very special drams:
Scotch Broth with Parsley Toast*
Paired with Morrison & Mackay’s Benrinnes 9 years
Roast Chicken Chasseur with Creamed Potato and Green Beans*
Paired with cask strength Glenfiddich 16 years refill Bourbon cask
Warm Apple Crumble with Vanilla Ice Cream
Paired with Deanston 15 years Sauternes Finish
Brand ambassadors and distillers will join us for the dinner to introduce their wonderful whisky!
We are honoured that the Chief Executive of the Scotch Whisky Association, Karen Betts, has accepted our invitation to speak to you after dinner. As the head of the industry’s trade body, there is no better person to talk to you about protecting and future-proofing the demand for Scotch whisky.
Following on from tea or coffee and your fourth dram, the fantastic Fife duo, The Coaltown Daisies, will entertain you with their dynamic folk, soul and americana music for this exclusive performance from the writers and performers of The Whisky Song – the official theme song for World Whisky Day – and winners of the coveted CalMac Culture Music prize.
Great whisky, great food, great company, great music and a great venue!
This is an event not to be missed!
Transport to Cupar (in time for trains if necessary!) and St Andrews is now available after the event.
Just check the box if you wish to reserve a place.
