Once referred to as the ‘whisky capital of the world’, with nearly 30 distilleries operating in the 1830s, Campbeltown is now home to just three: Springbank, Glengyle and Glen Scotia.
Originally built in 1832, Glen Scotia (or Scotia as it was known then) has passed through various different hands. However, much of the original design still remains.
Now, it’s no secret that one half of Fife Whisky Festival HQ has been singing the praises of the Glen Scotia Double Cask for quite a while now; it’s a well made NAS whisky at a decent price and you can’t say fairer than that!
Other expressions in the core range include the 15 years and the Victoriana but you can be sure that Ibon and the team will be bringing plenty of delectable drams with them to the Fife Whisky Festival on 9th March!
Be sure to drop by the Glen Scotia stand on the day to learn more about this amazing distillery and its whisky.
